CPA Exam: Auditing and Attestation

"The Auditing and Attestation section covers knowledge of auditing procedures, auditing standards generally accepted in the United States of America (GAAS) and other standards related to attest engagements and the skills needed to apply that knowledge in auditing and other attestation engagements. This section tests such knowledge and skills in the context of the five broad engagement tasks in the outline that follows (Uniform CPA Examination: Examination of Contents, 2002, p. 3)."

  • How long does it take to get your scores back on this section? I took it July 1, in Utah. Does it take longer if you take it at the beginning of the two month testing period? Thanks!

  • They release the scores in waves, there are 2 waves per testing window.(typically the first month is the first wave) They release first wave scores around the 17th of the following month. Therefore you should be getting you scores mid to late August. Here is a website that updates score release dates and predictions: http://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-scores-results-july-august-2009-wave-1-wave-2.html

  • Just curious, if Auditing is one of the easiest parts, then why is it the longer?

    Thanks.
